ʻAINA KAKAHIAKA

Aloha mai.

During the first two-week lesson of this course, we want to introduce you to Hawaiian protocol, including a greeting, a gratitude and a centering chant, which we ask you to memorize, since we will use them during all our weekly ZOOM meetings.

We will also show you how to do your Hoʻolauna or Introduction in Hawaiian, by sharing the places that have shaped you into who you are today.  This Hoʻolauna should also be memorized and will be part of your hōʻike at the end of the course.

Also donʻt forget to memorize your vocabulary, because once you know Hawaiian words it will be real easy to make sentences in Hawaiian.
